2020 Feed the Hungry Event at the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center in Virginia Beach

Arthritis Consultants of Tidewater (ACT) hosted their annual “Feed the Hungry” event on Sunday, May 31…however, it was done just slightly different this year!

While wearing masks and respecting the COVID social distancing requirements we met at the office and set up multiple stations to make and assemble 92 sandwich sacks  (sandwich, fruit, drink, dessert, chips, etc.) to be delivered and distributed at the JUDEO-CHRISTIAN OUTREACH CENTER (JCOC) in Virginia Beach. Physicians, staff, and family all gathered together to  give back to the community.

2019 Lupus Butterfly Walk to End Lupus Now, Hampton Roads, VA (Team: ACT Now!)

Arthritis Consultants of Tidewater (ACT) had another great team participate in the annual Walk to End Lupus Now Hampton Roads event.

Team ACT Now! joined hundreds of other supporters from Hampton Roads on June 9, 2018, to stand together as a powerful voice against lupus.  Team ACT Now! was successful in raising over $500. Proceeds from the event are used to improve the quality of life for local people affected by Lupus.

Arthritis Consultants of Tidewater is also very proud to be represented on the Social Butterflies Board of Directors and wants to congratulate our own LaMisha Cross who has been appointed to hold that position.

What is Arthritis Consultants of Tidewater (ACT) doing in your community?

We’re running in the Jingle Bell Run, sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation, to raise funds to benefit arthritis research!

This year’s event was held on November 23, 2019, at Mount Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach (yes, it was cold…but, a good cause!).

Our team, ACT Runs This Joint raised over $500 in support of the more than 50 million adults and 300,000 children who are living with the pain and other challenges caused by arthritis and related diseases.

Girl Scout Troop 191 visits Arthritis Consultants of Tidewater

January 18, 2019. Girl Scouts Troop 191 was in the house…the Arthritis Consultants of Tidewater (ACT) House!

The girls enjoyed learning all about the usefulness of X-rays in medicine from our own Dr. Sherwood.  Then, Alyx our sonographer then showed them all about the exciting world of ultrasound.

ACT is glad to be part of building the next generation of strong women!

P.S. thanks Anya for setting up this fun event, and thanks girls…we enjoyed our beautiful thank you card and homemade brownies.
